Colorado flag is not copyrighted, but it does symbolize the administration of the State of Colorado.

The state regulations undoubtedly have directions about usage of the state flag for financial reasons, encompassing limits on usage that could misrepresent an affiliation with the state government.

In detail, under the Colorado regulations on "State emblems" 24-80-904 State Flag, it includes:

"All punishments supplied by the regulations of this state for the abuse of the nationwide flag will be applicable to the said state flag."

Under 15 U.S.C. § 1052, A trademark on items will not be listed if it "(b) Consists of or comprises the flag or outer garment of arms or other insignia of the United States, or of any State or municipality, or of any foreign territory, or any replication thereof."

In other phrases, if you were to use the flag in your logo you would have to expressly "disclaim" that piece, presuming the financial use of that flag is no illicit for any other reason.

The Colorado State Flag was conceived by Andrew Carlisle Johnson and taken up by the Colorado General Assembly on June 5, 1911. The flag specifications appeared clear sufficient when taken up but modification to the legislation was needed in 1929 and in 1964.

The colors utilised in the Colorado State Flag comprise ecological characteristics of the state. The gold comprises the abundant sunshine relished by the state. The azure symbolizes the clear azure atmosphere of Colorado. White comprises the snowfall capped hills of the state and red comprises the hue of much of the state's soil.
