   Depending on the rifle, the best way to obtain the year is to write down the make and model of the rifle and contact the manufacturer. Most rifles have limited runs i.e. (stretching from 2001-2004)    While some rifles manufacturers might include the year with various methods, this practice has been proven to be a bit outdated by todays standards.  Who makes the gun?
