How has Raymond Domenech kept his job?

France’s eccentric coach Raymond Domenech somehow managed to retain his position after an abysmal showing in Euro 2008. Over a year later, Domenech is still in charge, and France’s World Cup qualification has, unsurprisingly, been less than triumphant.

    It's a mystery. France were awful in Euro 2008 and might not even qualify for the World Cup.

    I'm sure his popularity rating is pretty dreadful over in France - I'd be very surprised if he lasts too much longer.
