my boyfriend just left for ft. benning ga for infantry + airborne basic training. And he had this medical condition when he was 9-10. It had to do with his knees. The medical condition is a diff. form of arthritis the condition is called "SYNOVITIS" i was wondering if he can get discharged because of it. This is his 1st week there and all what they do in the 1st week is paper work and have a dr. look you over. He txted me wed. 9/22/10 sayin he might be comin home but i havent heard anything since then. Till this day his knee's bother him. No one can touch the sides of his knees on the inside because it will cause pain sometimes he doesnt want to get out of bed because he hurts so much please could some one help me out here.

    He might not make it.

In OSUT for infantry he will have to ruck with up too 100lbs on his back for 12-16miles.

Even taking this aside many regular healthy people washout of Airborne because of stress fractures, couple ppl per class.

If Dr.s feel he isnt up for this he might be sent back or have to renigotiate his contract.
