   By its looks, it can deceive you to think it is a flat screen TV. In reality, it is a luxe lamp, designed by Ferruccio Laviani for Kartell.
   One does not get to see too many flat looking lamps around in the market, but the TV like lamp is special, because it is contemporary, blends with the interior and gives a new dimension to it. And because it turns completely black once you turn it off. When you turn it on though, it turns white, adding that ultra-glam look to your room. Just place it in a corner and play around, turning it on and off. At times it may look like a lit up billboard that’s empty, but do not let that bother you.
   It’s the Tati lamp and will be on display at Milan Design Week 09. The lamp is available in four colours and with each colour, the effect on your room is dramatic and different.
   The colours being – patterned red and white, white, beige that gives the golden glow that you will so love. Its base, unlike in conventional table and floor lamps, is a neat glassy cuboid supporting the lamp, with the wiring in place. If you want this to make that roomy difference, go for it.
