Reason for not recording from my Microphone

Why Cannot I record from my Microphone, please help me. I am working on it for the last 3 days and could not find the reason.

    Look for the difficulty by unfastening the "Sounds and Audio Devices" configuration computer display of your "Control Panel" and producing certain your mic has been chosen for sound and voice notes in the "Audio" and "Voice" tabs. You furthermore require a mic with a stereo connector to agree the stereo jack on your computer.
