I have my question regarding a certain type of a development known as Sustainable Development. The very first thing that I would want to know is that what type of a development is this? Would it be true to say that this is some kind of a social development or it is simply a kind of an economic development?

Sustainable development also known in short as SD is a pattern of resource use and the aims of this is to meet human needs by preserving the environment. This is because so that these needs can be met not only in the present time, but it should continue to move on in future for generations to come. The SD is sometimes taught as ELF-Environment, Local people, Future. The term was used by the Brundtland Commission which changed to what has become the most often-quoted definition of sustainable development as development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. The field of sustainable development can be conceptually divided into three main fields of study which include  environmental sustainability, economic sustainability and sociopolitical sustainability. Sustainable development is expected to be setting certain limits on the development of the world. In the past, after the first world countries polluted the surroundings significantly during their development, the same countries encouraged the third world countries to reduce pollution, which sometimes hinders growth. Some consider that the implementation of sustainable development would mean a reversion to pre-modern lifestyles.
