Were India and West Indies both showed reluctance to win the game?

Would it be wrong to say that West Indies let the match slip off through their hands provided that at one stage they looked very comfortable?

    The match between India and West Indies was some how of not that much of a significance considering both the teams had already qualified for the quarter finals, the only point of concern was which side they would look to play in the quarter final. This seemed very clear that both sides will have to face tough opponents whether they win or lose. India for instance will now face Australia in the quarterfinal while West Indies will be up against confident Pakistan side. On losing India would have faced the strong Sri Lankans while West Indies had faced the mighty Australians.
