Since the soonest days of expert boxing, a knockout has graded as the most thrilling happening the games has to offer. A knockout in the ring is a definitive end to a fight. A large knockout normally arrives in a important battle, for example a name bout between two world-class boxers. It showcases the triumphant boxer's mastery of a specific facet of the games, such as the proficiency to hurl a flawless left snare or a strategic sequence of uppercuts. It often encompasses a crowd-pleasing scene for example the mislaying boxer disintegrating into a heap or dropping face-first to the mat upon mislaying consciousness.
    Pre-1950
Two knockouts from before the 1950s grade amidst the peak 10: Jack Dempsey's knockout of Luis Angel Firpo in 1923 and Joe Louis' knockout of Max Schmeling in 1930. On Sept. 14, 1923, at the Polo Grounds in New York, Dempsey, the world heavyweight champion, flattened Firpo seven times in the first around before completing him off in the second around with a mighty left hand that set down squarely on Firpo's jaw. On June 22, 1938, at Yankee Stadium in New York, Louis avenged a previous beat to Schmeling with a first-round knockout from an unrelenting barrage of hits with both hands.
    1950s
Two knockouts from this ten years grade amidst the peak 10: Rocky Marciano's knockout of Jersey Joe Walcott in 1952 and Sugar Ray Robinson's knockout of Gene Fullmer in 1957. On Sept. 23, 1952, at Municipal Stadium in Philadelphia, Marciano worked Walcott's body for most of the battle before banging him out with a devastating shot to Walcott's jaw. On May 1, 1957, at Chicago Stadium, Robinson consigned a brutal left snare that shocked Fullmer, took his legs out and dispatched him smashing into to the canvas.
    1960s and 1970s
Three knockouts from this era grade amidst the peak 10: Muhammad Ali's knockout of Sonny Liston in 1965, George Foreman's knockout of Joe Frazier in 1973 and Ali's knockout of Foreman in 1974. On May 25, 1965, at St. Dominic's Hall in Lewiston, Maine, Ali flattened Liston with a mighty directly right hand, then taunted his adversary as he lay on the mat. The hit continues contentious because numerous ringside observers did not glimpse it connect. On Jan. 22, 1973, at National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica, Foreman completed off Frazier with a fast succession of left and right uppercuts. On Oct. 30, 1974, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ali utilised a vicious blend of hits to drive Foreman to the mat.
    1980s through present
Three knockouts from this era grade amidst the peak 10: Thomas Hearns' knockout of Roberto Duran in 1984, Marvin Hagler's knockout of Hearns in 1985 and Manny Pacquiao's knockout of Ricky Hatton in 2009. On June 15, 1984, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Hearns dispatched Duran flailing face-first in the direction of the mat with a devastating right hand. On April 15, 1985, at the identical venue, Hagler put the completing feels on an action-filled bout by lowering Hearns with a powerful left hook. On May 2, 2009, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Pacquiao cemented his status as one of the sport's best boxers when he knocked Hatton out freezing with a left hook.

Daily Telegraph has published the list of top ten knockout ever. According to daily Telegraph:

    1. JULIAN JACKSON v Herol Graham

Like Hatton, 'Bomber' Graham was out before he hit the canvas, having given the Virgin Islander a three-round boxing lesson in a 1990 WBC middleweight title fight in Spain. But in the fourth, Jackson unleashed a right that cemented his place in the top 10 of Ring magazine's list of greatest punchers.

    2. AZUMAH NELSON v Pat Cowdell

A stunning left upper-cut from the 'Terrible Warrior' of Ghana in round one of the 1985 world featherwight title match. Local favourite Cowdell was out cold before the Birmingham crowd had time to settle in their seats.

    3. JIMMY THUNDER v Crawford Grimsley

This 1997 heavyweight match in Michigan was over almost as the opening bell sounded, with the Samoan Thunder (born James Peau) leaving Grimsley pawing at imaginary opponents on the canvas.

    4. HASIM RAHMAN v Lennox Lewis; Hasim Rahman v LENNOX LEWIS

In part one (April 2001), shades of defeat to Oliver McCall as a horribly undercooked Lewis was found out in South Africa, the end coming with a ferocious right hand that shocked the boxing world. Tim-ber!

    5. ANTONIO TARVER v Roy Jones Jr. 'Magic Man' Tarver produced one of boxing's biggest recent upsets with this second round knockout. In fifty previous fights, Roy Jones Jr had been floored just once.

    6. BERNARD HOPKINS v Felix Trinidad

"Huge right hand by Hopkins, huge right hand!". Trinidad was unbeaten but Hopkins was already celebrating as the two touched gloves for the final round of their middleweight fight at Madison Square Garden in 2001. There was no need for the judges' decision, however.

    7. TOMMY "HITMAN" HEARNS v Roberto Duran

Hitman's final right hand was the telling blow in this classic at Caesars Palace in the summer of 1984. It left the crowd gasping as Duran became more Jaw of Glass than Hands of Stone.

    8. MIKE TYSON v Trevor Berbick

A surprise it lasted two rounds as this was express train Tyson at his best. A left hook in the 1986 WBC heavyweight title fight had Berbick rolling round the ring like a drunkard.

    9. NIGEL BENN v Michael Chilambe

The Dark Destroyer could have - indeed has - a reel of his own. This one, against Zambian Chilambe at the Royal Albert Hall in 1989, lasted 60 seconds.

    10. FLOYD PATTERSON v Ingemar Johansson

"Ingo's Bingo" had won the day at Yankee Stadium in June 1960, but a year later, at the Polo Grounds, Patterson's sweeping left lifted the Swede off his feet.
