I heard about HEC Pakistan comprehensive exam but I can't understand it, can you tell me that what is meant by comprehensive exam in HEC Pakistan.

    Comprehensive Exam is requirement for all doctoral programs, and precedes defense of the PhD research proposal. The student must pass both the written and oral components after the completion of 18 credit Hours Course Work. Successful completion of the both the comprehensive exam and the PhD research proposal must be completed before a student can be granted Doctoral Candidacy status.
