What happens after filing for bankruptcy?

I have heard of people that have filed for bankruptcy, but they are able, have a job, rent an apartment, maybe even have a car? So whats the point of filing for bankruptcy?

    After fileing a Bankrupcy the only thing that u are Left with is Your name u are not able to get any kinda loans u cant even PUrchase any thing u dnt have a house and u are BOund to do payments if u want everything back....
