Question:

Why don't the buttons on my memorex tv dont work

When the on off button was pushed my son got a shock.  I don't know if it was static electricity or not but now none of the buttons work. The on/off, volume, and menu do nothing.  When you plug it in it is stuck on one channel, which comes in fine

    Hi,
    The obvious reason would be your remote is dead (battery) but if it doesnt change when you press the TV channel buttons, it sounds like theres something only the company can fix.
