pls give me a superstitious beliefs with scientific basis

    There are some superstitious beliefs that have scientific basis or facts that confirm that paticular belief.

    Here are a few examples:
    1. Putting a steel spoon, fork or kitchen stuffs in a water to fasten it's boilnig process.

    Scientific Basis:
    The scientific basis is, steel objects present in the water fastens the boiling because of the so called heat transfer. Steel is a good conductor of heat that why that belief is proven and tested.

    2. People say that you should not sweep at night time.

    Scientific Basis:
    This superstition arose in times when lightning at night was poor, so some unseen valuables could be swept out with the dirt.

    3. Don't chew Tulsi. It should be swallowed or take it with water.

    Scientific Basis:
    It contains mercury which is bad for teeth.

    and its saying now its your chance to do a speel to the lady of luck

    so remember the moon is always telling you somthing
