Who was the best UFC fighter for 2008 and was he also around in 2007 and will he hold his top position of best ufc fighter of 2009?  

UFC fighting has gained tremendous momentum by actualizing the scene of blood-sport and Enter the dragon movies.  It's a no holds bar any style goes kind of fighting where only the last man standing wins. UFC fighting system is the gladiators of today's society with people fighting their hearts out to beat the other guy in the ring.  

I have had many discussions with my friends on who was the best ufc fighter of 2008 and will he hold his rank for the new year and after many heated debates we are not able to agree; so the question is now open for all others who think they know what UFC is all about.

Who was the best UFC fighter for 2008 and will he hold his top position of best ufc fighter in 2009?
