   Hi,
   There is a thermistor in the door, attached to the dispenser.
   
   If this is faulty you'll need to replace the main control board in the door as the thermistor is supplied with it.
   
   
   
   Check the element again but measure it from the control board, just trace the wiring back, unplug it and remeasure. This way you'll be testing the wiring, toc and heater all in one.
   
   
   
   If OK, it would suggest a problem with the heater and thermistor.
