   There are the usual maintenance things like running Defrag and Disc Cleanup (found in Start, Accessories, System Tools). Make sure your anti-virus is up to date and you are using a good Spyware program such as Ad-Aware.
   
   I'm a big fan of Malwarebytes too, it is free to use but must be manually updated each time you run it. I think it is only aobut $30 to purchase for a lifetime and then will run in the background protecting you.
   
   Other than that you havent given enough information. You might be able to add more RAM memory, that would be a huge boost to performance.
