I have the 9040 pioneer and the 9241 pvr. I was using the HDMI Switching of the 9040 and everything was working fine and then the picture starting flashing on and off- I thought is was the receiver and actually returned it and got a new one and the new 9040 did the same thing, I finally had to run the HDMI direct from the 9241 to TV. I have talked to many folks and nobody has been able to explain this issue?

I HAVE 9040 RECEIVER AND PS3 CONNECTED TO SONY 55" LCT 1080P TV WITH HDMI 1080P CABLES. I AM USING 1080P OUTPUT FROM PS3 AND I AM GETTING INTERMITTENT VIDEO DROPOUTS.
WHEN I CONNECT PS3 TO TV DIRECTLY USING HDMI, THERE IS NO ISSUE.

    I have the same problem.
My Pioneer receiver is the 9140, I connected a Bell PVR 9241 yesterday and when connected with the HDMI cable, the picture flashes on and off continually, only works properly when I connect the component video and put HDMI to OFF in the Pioneer receiver input set up.
I asked Bell about the problem over the phone and the person said that their engineers are looking at getting a fix for this problem.
I hope they get it soon because their publicity say that we can connect using HDMI.
