Question:

raising the bobbin thread on a Futura II model 920

When this machine was given to me, it was threaded and it was working, but it seemed stiff - possibly from years of not being used.  I went through the book to do each step of the "Getting Ready to Sew" Chapter and everything worked perfectly except nothing I do makes the bobbin thread come up on the needle thread.  Until I tried threading a bobbin, it was all just fine!

What went wrong?  What can be done?
