Dark circles under eyes are caused by many different things some of which I will explain below.  Genetics is the main reason where your ancestors passed on the dark circles under your eyes to you but lack of sleep and age also plays a part in making you look old and tired.

Abnormal function of your liver or kidney can also cause dark circles under you eyes. Find below a list of some of the other people who suffer from dark circles:

Sinus problems could develop dark circles under the eyes.
Persons with a history of eczema,
Hay fever or asthma often suffer from dark circles.

Dark circles become more pronounced as you travel away from the fountain of youth. Ageing and damage caused by the sun make the skin thin and transparent, making the veins beneath very visible, dark, baggy and puffed.

Dark circles under your eyes can’t be removed for good but can be reduced so they are less visible.  You better start sleeping on time and more; Lack of proper sleep is one of the prime causes for dark circles.

Ways to Reducing Dark Circles under your eyes

It’s a bigger problem for women than men
You can place cold cucumber slices over the under eye area.
Try placing cool tea bags over the eye area to reduce swelling
Sleep my friend and sleep well
In the sun always wear a SPF30 sun-screen lotion under the eyes
    Wear sunglasses with UV protection
Use a cream with vitamin K
    Don’t drink alcohol
    Don’t eat too much salt
Improperly fitting heavy eye glasses frames can also cause you to have dark circles
Women use a concealer that is one shade lighter than your skin tone
Water is the best thing in the world and plays its part even in the dark circles under your eyes; drink plenty of water and keep drinking.

I hope this helps if the dark circles under you eyes are still making you look like the joker from batman 4; you got some work to do and sleep for a change.
