"I didn't have Christmas when I was growing up because my family was Jehovah's Witness so you're not allowed to celebrate Christmas.

"So now I do it up. I have the biggest Christmas."

    ICE Cube

"I stopped enjoying Christmas when I turned 14. That year was the worst.

"The year before you got all kinds of stuff, but the year people think you're too old for gifts - that year you don't get nothing."

    ---------------------------------
    Halle Berry
"The day I saw my mom eating the Santa cookies on the plate was one of the most horrific days of my life.

"I never let her forget it. I had at least three more good years that I could have believed had she not been so careless."

    ---------------------------------

    Jennifer Lopez
"As a child my Christmases were always exactly the same.

"You go to Grandma's house, you get there by two or three, she's cooked all the same foods that she's cooked every day for the past ten years you've been alive and that's kind of how it is.

"Then they play the same music and the kids fight to put their music on and it's just the same thing."

    -----------------------------

    Matt Le Blanc
    "I know I was bad.

"I was the one that opened the gifts on the tree real carefully before Christmas and peeled the tape off very carefully and saw, wow, that's that new toy and take it out of the box, put it together and play with it - then carefully disassemble it, re-wrap it and put it back under the tree and my mother never knew.

"I told her this last Christmas."

    -------------------------------

    Billy Bob Thornton
    "I'm traditional all the way.

"I can't stand it when people open their presents on Christmas Eve. I want you to wait until the morning when Santa Claus comes."

    --------------------------------

    Samuel L Jackson
"Christmas wasn't Christmas unless I got some guns.

"You would go to the movies and watch violent movies, you played violent games - we played cowboys and Indians, we played war, we played cops and robbers."

    ------------------------------

    Whoopi Goldberg
"My mom cooked the turkey all night long and the smell of the live Christmas tree and just walking into this room, where the Christmas tree's lit up, with my big brother, knowing that that turkey was going to be in my gullet, waiting to see if we were too early."

Goldberg remembers the way veteran news anchor, Walter Cronkite, signed off after the evening news broadcast on Christmas Eve.

"He would say: 'Goodnight, it's Christmas Eve, it's seven o'clock and there's peace in the world. Don't know if there'll be peace in the world tomorrow night but we know, tonight, Christmas Eve, there's peace in the world'.

"That used to make me sleep so well, because Walter Cronkite said it, and Walter knew everything."
