   Follow the center of the distributor cap where a line bridges to a point outside of the cap. Use this as a guide for your starting point and work your way around clockwise to each 4 points. First point connects to spark plug 4, next connects to spark plug 2, next connects to spark plug 1, and finally spark plug 3.
   
   Spark plug 1 is the one closest to your belts on the right side of the engine, while spark plug 4 is the one closest to your distributor on the left side of the engine.
   
   These specifications haven't change between the Civic 92 - 98 models. Make sure you get this right and confirm with a Honda Civic Service Manual if necessary. Sparking the wrong cylinders to work against each other can damage your engine.
