why does my brand new kenmore coffee pot not brew?

When the brew button is pushed, the coffee pot cuts off shortly thereafter.

    HI,
    it sounds as if you've got a faulty control board. I would contact Cuisinart and see if they can assist you with either a repair or a replacement unit.

    Cuisinart is pretty well known for their customer service and I would expect they will handle yor request promptly and most likely will get you a replacement at little to no charge.

    You can call them at 1-800-726-0190 from 7 AM to 11 PM Monday-Friday and from 9 AM to 5 PM Sat & Sun.
