Moterway has been closed on December 27 due to bad fog. Moterway police has issued a warning to all the motorist who are already on the road to be careful while driving. Moterway is the main high which connects Islamabad to Lahore and other parts of the country. It's one of the best highway in pakistan and makes your journey a breeze compared to GT road.

    Moterway the only main highway in pakistan is still closed today due to bad fog.

    Hi There,
    Lahore Motorway has been closed for every kind of traffic due to severe fog while train schedule has also been disrupted.
    According to details, Lahore motorway has been closed from Kot Sarwar while traffic coming to Islamabad has been diverted to GT Road and other roads. Entry of traffic from Lahore via motorway has been closed. Spokesman of Motorway Javed Chaudhry told this agency that vehicles are not visible at Motorway from 6am so Lahore Motorway has been closed. Timely information about closure of Motorway avoided any traffic jam. Spokesman further told that till 300-meter visibility motorway could not be opened. On the other hand, train schedule has been affected due to fog. Quetta express, Chaltan Express and Jaffer express arrived several hours late due to fog and meteorological department said that this series of fog would remain for further two to three days. Thick fog has engulfed major parts of Punjab province.
