Qustion value of Baldwin Acrosonic Spinet 1966

We are looking into purchasing a piano for our son who has been taking lessons on an electonic keyboard for 2 year. Do you know what the value of a 1966 Baldwin Acrosonics Spinet is? A very reputable dealer is selling on for $1500, but on 23 year old piano I think it sounds high.

Not an expert, but just bought a 40-50 yr.-old very well kept Acrosonic from a friend for $1,000. Piano dealer had appraised it at $3,000. My research has shown they're well-respected among people who would consider a console or spinet piano.
