I really like this airman that I've been talking to for a while now, and he thinks we cannot date because I'm 17 and he's 22. Is it illegal for us to date?

    It's not illegal for the two of you to DATE. However, many states have laws that may state that you are to young to do anything other than hold hands and kiss. It varies by state (and is called the "age of consent"), so check your local laws.
