I love to watch American drama films. I got to know that The Soul Surfer is available on DVD. As I don’t have enough time to watch it in cinema as I have very odd office timing. I was just waiting for its DVD in the stores so that I can watch it in my spare time. Please give me short review of the movie and tell me about its availability of DVD so that I can make my mind to watch it as soon as possible. Thanks!

Soul Surfer is an American drama film released on 8 April, 2011 in North America. The film is about the life of a young Bethany Hamilton who was very talented surfer. When she was thirteen, she lost her arm during a shark attack. The film revolves around the events of this attack and her courage and struggle during the aftermath. Sean McNamara is the director of the film, based the screenplay on the autobiography of the Hamilton of the same name and on the interviews of the filmmakers with the family. The name of the film refers to an expression created in the 1960s. After the event she faced many emotional and other setbacks that packed with a new sense of wish and main heading, she comes back dwelling with a motivation and determination to defeat her own limitations and set an examples for people who are experiencing same kind of adversity. Bethany bravely faces off with her fiercest competitor, Malia Birch at the National Championships, and takes her surprising one-armed surfing techniques beyond the limit. But as the enthralling competition, and the exciting knocks off, Bethany is no longer considering about the trials of her body. Now, her surfing, her large-scale aspirations and her life have become about pushing beyond her own physical limits to feel the spirits of others.
