A recent study in Sweded found that higher road noises raises blood pressure; that I can believe living on the M25: I'm livid.

    People exposed to night flights and road traffic noise tend to have higher blood pressure, which increases the risk of heart disease, according to a new pan-European study by scientists from various European academic institutions. An increase in night-time airplane noise of 10 decibels (dB), in the 30-60dB range tested, increased the risk of high blood pressure by 14 per cent in both men and women. Researchers also found a correlation for road traffic noise. People are more annoyed by airplane noise than previous studies suggested....
