   Mughal emperor Shah Jahan made Taj Mahal for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal who died in 1931 during the birth of his fourteenth child. Then in memory of his wife he started to made it, its work was started in 1632 and was said to be completed in 1648. But some says that it was completed in 22 years, the 22 in the main entrance shows the 22 years spent for its completion.
