Slainte is a word which Irish people use for some drink. Can someone tell me the details?

    In Ireland Slainte is commonly used as a drinking toast it is also used in Scotland and the Isle of Man, literally translating as "health".

    Variations of this toast exist, it can for example be expanded to Slainte mhaith "good health" in Irish language.
