Text reviewers and phrase processors can read HTML, or Hypertext Markup Language, so as long the HTML articles are not encrypted, you can edit Web sheets with very rudimentary programs, download any Web sheets, save them to your computer and edit the cipher directly. Afterward, if they are your own Web sheets, you can upload the revised documents back to the website.

    • Click the Windows button to open the "Start" menu. Click "Computer." Browse the computer to find the HTML article you just downloaded and saved.

    • Right-click the HTML files. When the right-click context list seems, bang "Open with." Select "Notepad," or if you have another Web sheet reviewer for example Dreamweaver, bang its title on the register instead.

    • View the HTML cipher that seems when Notepad or another program undoes the file. Scroll down the cipher and find what you desire to edit.

    • Point the mouse cursor at an HTML tag you desire to edit. An HTML tag is surrounded in the projectiles "<" and ">." If you are not certain what tag to edit, confer an HTML quotation publication or Internet asset (see Resources). To edit text rather than, issue the cursor at the text out-of-doors of the tags and start typing.

    • Click "File" and bang "Save As." Enter a distinct title for the HTML document to save it as a copy. Keep the initial unchanged in case you make an error in revising and require refurbishing the initial page.

    • Continue editing. To glimpse a preview, launch a Web browser for example Internet Explorer or Firefox and open the HTML file.

    • Click "Save" from the "File" list in Notepad or Web sheet reviewer to save your changes.
