    Valentine day's origion can be traced back to the Roman Empire. When every February Roman's celebrated the Luprecan festival. In this festival, young men chose their mates. but Emperor Claudious on becoming the emperor placed a ban on this festivital, for he wanted maximum devotion of his men towards warfare. Marraige became a crime, but young men still fell in love and felt the desire to marry. Hence, in this precarious situation Catholic Bishop Valentine stepped in and secretly started marrying young couples. But he was soon arrested and put to death for disobedience.
