   There is 95% of water in aloe plants and that’s one and main reasons why it can’t take frost, to grow Aloe outdoors the temperature must be maintained at a steady 21°C , and a minimum recommended is 5°C.
   
   If your aloe plants are grown outdoors in warm climates, make sure they are planted in full sun, or very light shade, also the soil must be very rich and fast draining, because over watering can cause the plant to rot off.
