Asthma is the result of inflammation in the passage of airways. When Asthma occurs, the muscles which surround the airways become tight and thus result in the air passage to swell. This reduces the amount of air that can pass through and in the end can lead to wheezing sound. Asthma is furthur classified according to frequency of symptoms, it also results in forced expiratory and sometimes into peak expiratory flow rate. Asthma might also be classified into extrinsic or intrinsic which is based on the symptoms which are precipitated by the allergens.

Most of these people that have asthma have wheezing attacks are separated by symptoms for quite some time. Some of these patients face long term shortness of breath and also some phases of more intense and increased shortness of breath. One of the main symptoms in people is Asthma. The attack of Asthma can last upto many days but it then becomes dangerous if the airflow becomes restricted. There can be multiple items which car trigger Asthma and some of the symptoms of Asthma can be triggered by breathing in allergy causing substances which are called allergens or triggers.

Some of the common triggers of Asthma include:

    Animals

    Dust

    Changes in Weather

    Exercise

    Mold

    Pollen

Respiratory infection also result in Asthma such as Common Cold.

In some people strong Emotions such as Stress can lead to Asthma.
