Have the asylum processing speeded up in Australia?

Assylum seekers have come to Australia. Please tell me if govt have speeded up work for them or not.

    The Australian government has said that the efforts to speed up refugee claims are about to produce results. The immigration department was also working to speed up processing, particularly security clearances.
    Mainland processing seemed to be the only sensible way to deal with the problem, Senator Xenophon said. While the opposition parties in Australia say that asylum seekers transferred to the mainland will have recourse to the full range of appeal processes.
