Our 8 year old female standard poodle does not want to go to bed at night.  The first 4 years she was kennel trained.  Then we put a bed in the wash room and closed the door.  The past 5 months she has to be dragged into the room at least 2 x a week.  When in, she throws her bed around (we do have another miniature dauchund in there as well).  We have tried gating her in a small corner and she started to tear up her bed.  We then take the bed away and she makes a high pitch whistle you can hear...even outside.  Last night I resorted to leashing her in the far side of our garage.  She is a joy during the day.  She gets lets out for the bathroom prior to bed.  I'm at a loss of wits and sleep!

Well first thing, what happened 5 months ago, was there any new changes in the routine, a new pet or human come to your home about that time? Has she slept inside your living quarters of the home before? or maybe the dauchund bullys her when the utility room door is shut. Or she could have become closterphobic and cant handle being enclosed in one room. try leaving the door open and putting in a baby gate to keep her inside the utility room at night.
