Italy’s below-par performances in their 2010 World Cup qualification campaign have caused concern amongst the Azzurri faithful. With their ticket to next summer’s tournament not yet secure, it could be time for change for the reigning World Cup champions.

    Italy have never been the most attractive international side to watch and are suffering from the effects of an ageing squad.

    It's time to push through the young, talented Italians and time to shift the deadwood including Gattuso.

    As Giuseppe Rossi's recent performances for the national side have proven, the next generation should get their chance to revitalise Italy.
