Why blogs are said to be authoritative?

I’ve got some backlinks for my website from blogs as well as forums. I was checking that links from blogs are getting noticed by Google more than the links from forums. Does anyone know, why is it so?

    Well, blogs are generally quite authoritative with heavy link equity because they give people a reason to frequently come back to their site, read their content, and link to whatever they think is interesting. That’s the reason search engines like blogs more. It doesn’t mean that search engines do not like forums.
