   Here are some steps which you can take to stay free from acne problems.
   
   Clean your skin with a mild and non drying soap like Dove, Neutrogena or Basics. Remove all of your dirt and makeup. Wash it once or twice a day after the exercise. Also try to avoid excessive or repeated washing of the skin. Shampoo your hair regularly, especially if it is oily. Comb your hair back to keep it out of your face. Also avoid tight headbands.
   
   Do not squeeze , scratch, pick or rub the pimples, this can also lead to skin infections and scarring. Avoid touching your face with your fingers or hands. Do not use greasy cosmetics or creams. Look for water based or non comedogenic formulas.
   
   If these procedures do not help you out, then you can also try the counter acne medications. These products are now directly applied to the skin. They contain benzoyl peroxide, sulfur, resorcinol or salicylic acid. They help in killing bacteria, drying up the oil and also cause the top layer of your skin to peel.
