Everyone hates getting up and introducing themselves in front of a group of people. There's always the anxiety of what to say. While others are introducing themselves, use that time to prepare your introduction. Here are some tips. Get a piece of paper read so you can jot down your ideas. Write everything in the order in which it comes to you-- you can always change the order later. Answer a few questions about yourself in your head: 1) What do I really like or dislike?, 2) What is my passion in life? 3) Where was a born, and where did I live most my life. 4) Do I share an interest with someone else in the room? If so, mention that. 5) Do you have something with you that means a lot to you? If so, show it to your audience. 6) Use your wit to make the audience laugh. 7) What makes you unique or similar to others in the room? 8) Do you have an impressive education? Achieve a high award. Remember to stick to the time allotted. If you are only supposed to make a 30-60 second introduction, do not make it 3 minutes. The audience will become irritable and it could determine how they view you during the rest of the day.
