   Lexus lies in the category of full-size luxury sedan class which is above $100,000, where the V-12 powered Mercedes-Benz S-Classes and the BMW 7 Series sedans dominate. What distinguishes Lexus from competitors is its pursuit of isolating passengers from the rest of the world. The car is one of the quietest automobiles which was ever built, and there is no doubt in this claim. The 2011 LS 460 is two ticks slower to 60 mph, while BMW has a time of 4.7-4.8-second time in the ActiveHybrid 750Li.
   
   The Lexus' LS 600h L is an astoundingly quiet and smooth-riding sedan, although there's still room for improvement. This status-mobile may have some of the basic engine technology you can find inside a $30,000 Toyota, but only few cars are as smooth to drive as the LS 600h L.
